22 January - 12.5 per cent of shares in Saipem are sold to Fondo Strategico Italiano.
January - Eni launches the new fuel Eni Diesel + in 3,600 service stations across Italy, with a 15 per cent renewable component made from plant oils.
8 June – Eni signs a memorandum of understanding with the Italian education and labour ministers for initiatives to improve integration between schools and business.
4 October – Eni announces the dispatch of the first crude oil from Kashagan for export.
14 October – The FPSO Armada Olombendo departs from Singapore for Block 15/06, offshore of Angola.
25 October – Eni is ranked in the Climate A List by CDP, marking it out as a global leader in the fight against climate change.
4 November – The Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), which Eni is signed up to, announces a $1 billion investment to develop innovative low-emission technologies.
22 November – An agreement is signed with General Electric to develop projects in the renewable energy sector.
